The Institute for Families and Technology, The Anxious Generation, Smartphone Free Childhood US, and Becca Schmill Foundation released a groundbreaking assessment of state phone-free school policies and whether or not they meet the gold standard.

The Institute for Families and Technology (IFT) commissioned a survey from October 22-27, 2025, to gain opinions of 800 registered voters on cell phone bans in schools. The results are below.
